Someone having to offload a few million shares in a low volume counter like GMD has to take what the market may offer. Not much solace for other shareholders seeing the portfolio value tank.
It works the other way too. Some beneficial news and publicity quickly turns the stock into a sellers' market. A profitable open cut to fund future drilling for instance??
