In my readings on the subject, encoding biologically inspired neural learning systems into hardware is complicated – e.g., SpiNNaker, BrainScaleS and SyNAPSE.

You seem confident that Peter can succeed in encoding ALL the necessary methods to achieve complex third generation ANN simulation onto a low-power real-time scalable chip. Peter does too, by all accounts. And I hope he can. But until he can prove that it’s doable, which will cost time and money, IMO, all we have is his software version – and that is meaningless.

Given your confidence, you must know a lot about this stuff. Perhaps you could contribute (san venom) to the discussion?
