Brazil is a founding member of BRICS. The president of Brazil, Lula, has personally spoken about BRICS getting it's own currency and various BRICS nations are already trading amongst themselves. It is increasingly likely, that with spreading sanctions on BRICS countries by the West, that they will also form their own commodity exchanges as well. If the West is not careful, they will find they either will not have access to, or will find it increasingly expensive, to trade for resources. Bear in mind, most of our resources come from BRICS countries.
