Aksier (or any other traders), what do you use to keep track of...

Aksier (or any other traders), what do you use to keep track of your yearly performance? e.g. how do you keep track of how many trades have been succesfull, and what sort of % return you are making on your closed positions e.t.c ?
Do you just use spreadsheets and update them manually or is there a package for doing this?
I am currently downloading the Comsec 'Confirmations' into a spreadsheet but I find it time consuming to keep track of my closed positions in this fashion.
Is there a better way?
