Well those rights purchased at the last minute proved pretty stressful. Computershare rejected the excess payment on the rights beyond my entittlement. Had to pay via my broker who couldn't/wouldn't act until settled, then sent a cheque to computershare just in time.
Will be very reluctant to buy rights that close to expiry again, lol.
Pleasantly suprised to see sp slightly positive today after rights shares trading. I suspect/hope we are going to get a more positive newsflow and a lifting of sentiment now that the doomsdayers are (hopefully) out of ammo.
This has proven quite a profitable bet against the shorters/doomsdayers so far, and imho the underlying company is quite a remarkable multi-decadinal story - rare for a consumer goods manufacturer in this part of the world. A rare survivor, dare I suggest to thrive again?
