My experience with trading halt is summarised below
1. If the trading halt is associated with cap raising, this will fall, but smart buyer will be buying at bottom. This is likely to follow by say the Selene result and AGM on Wed, which will fire the SP. However given that ppl already knew the result is forthcoming and AGM may hold some value, the drop from cap raising will be minimal.
2. If the trading halt is selene result, this is interesting. I have observed many trading halt for small spec and large ones like PDN, RAU...etc. The best time to sell, is usually btw 0-6mins after the trading halt is lifted. Yes you heard me, the best price, is usually T+5mins. After that it'll drop below the opening price and drift down a bit before consolidating. The reason is that many are already geared up and made up their mind to sell or buy, it's a different strategy compared to an ann just came out during a normal trading time.
