I wouldn't put that past it. Too much crap going on with CTP at the moment.
They may even make sure that, if the rebles will win, and they will be shown the door, all of these new positions are filled in and properly contracted for. And if they are going to be removed by the new Board, they will all be lining up for the golden handshake. God help us, if that is the case.
