Not sensible to do that...what if they don't hit something where expected...or if it's deeper down...or..???

How long would you leave the haly on?

NO need to call a halt until a material event happens...drilling is one, but once announced, it is no longer material.

If they hit something however, than call another halt, as it will likely be material.

If the drill to total depth (rig limits) and nothing is encountered, then they will likely call another halt, as that too would be material.
