When TPI went into trading halt Monday the first sentence said it was "pending the release of an announcment by the company concerning a proposed transaction by the company". In the same letter it also said it was pending a reply to an ASX query. WHICH ONE?
Did the company not quite know why it was in trading halt?
Or did company secretary not read letter before it was sent? Sloppy work.
God only know where this is going. I'm still wondering why I got tempted to catch another falling knife (again). Hope those private equity boys referred to in the AFR today are still interested. I reckon Peabody might now have had enough market pain to consider privatisation - if he can find a cashed up partner.
Does anyone know what the debt covenants are?
