Two options here re trading halt imo
A - trading halt will be put in place before market opens, or
B - trading halt is put in place about 12pm allowing for morning trading (2 hours)
A trading halt is a must imo as the Malaysian government is making an announcement during the course of our trading day, such that the release of price sensitive information is out of the Company's control should they not proceed with a halt.
However given the potential for leaks, and that the announcement is due only 3 hours after the market opens, Company will likely request halt before market opens imo
