Free markets also need some protection from manipulation. Some sorts of trading should be taken from the ASX and handed over to the TAB. The market would be better if trading was left to investors with gambling and manipulation left to the TAB. Failing that a company needs the avenue of having it's shares withdrawn from the market when it feels excessive manipulation could occur.
