This merger was always a possibility. PetsFirst and Greencross Vet Clinics merging will reduce overheads by operating as one entity. The clinics that will come under the Greencross banner are all profitable. One of the directors of Greencross has been associated with the PetsFirst clinics and would have done his due diligence thoroughly when examining the takeover. PetsFirst has up till now been controlled by a very astute businessman who has built up a group of well run clinics. Once this aquisition is completed Greencross shares should soon be trading above $1.00.
