Another newbie question with regards to trading halts, if some price sensitive news was due out shortly surely it would be in the best interests of the company to Halt for a few days to protect and steady the SP a bit(unless news is delayed by a few weeks??), again I have limited knowledge on how the trading halt works but i have seem a number of companies doing it recently before some big anouncements are due, it seems like a good move to do, can someone enlighten me on the whole process so i can get my head around it?
