people are supposed to go to jail for insider trading, but it is very difficult to prove.

from ironking's perspective, IF insiders did have knowledge of the transaction, then selling it down to lower levels and accumalting makes sense, since this would give them more of a holding at a lower price and when the rest of the market receives the news, the price is bound to go up...ie (more) profit for the insiders.

however, your argument is just as plausible.

I dont know what to believe, except the contents of the announcement.
