With something so materially important as this they should have placed it in a trading halt last Thursday or Friday.
Even so if there plan was to place a trading halt Saturday they should have had someone (even if it was the secretary) tracking it to ensure a trading halt occurred before the open.
Being on the piss with clients Sunday night and going to bed just before the market opens is no excuse.
