Agree with what you say here...had forgotten about that SE Asian Nat Oil Co...it could easily be the case.

If NDO gave up 15% it would leave them 45%, (not 55%), but still the majority to be operator.
There are quite a few possibilities for % splits which would still leave NDO as operator...

I was actually a bit suspicious of why they called a trading halt for up to 2 days just to ann the FID...it usually suggests that they're in the last throws of something that required organising/negotiations, so you could well be right.

I'd view it as still a very positive move if it comes to pass...will open more avenues and reduce financial pressure.
