Yeah, I think it's a strange thing to do considering anyone getting the full allocation is next to impossible if all are treated fairly. Who knows how they will div up the shares, they can divide it as they wish.
If you wait till the last day before transferring money across to them they will only have it for around 10 days before the shares are allocated so your money shouldn't be tied up for too long.
