You never know, maybe the landmark deal is due to directors actually looking after shareholder value!
Maybe the non execs are truly independent?
Maybe the U1 days of screwing shareholders never happened?
Maybe the directors actually did leave the door open for multiple bids?
Maybe the 60% increase in exec directors package was purely to help shareholders?
Maybe the rand deal didn't spook investors, just prior to our landmark deal?
Maybe holders like Auto didn't believe the sp could reach $1 - $1.50 and receiving less is a bonus?
Maybe no dealings have been happening behind closed doors with majority stakeholders?
Maybe this deal nor the end game doesn't suit the directors interests?
Ok, maybe the last part is going over the top.
If the composition of the top 20 is similar to the last annual then it's a matter of being pulled along for the ride and a matter of repositioning the gravy train.
