One might imagine there would be no need to send out an explanatory note about shares being sold by management prior to an announcement if the news is going to be good (as noone would be concerned about an insider selling at a lower price). Alternatively, if the news was going to be bad and someone in management had sold a heap of shares, then there is an obvious need for an announcement to come out explaining that it was all above board. Only a thought....
