I know Winchester make ammo for Colt weapons and so do Magtech, there are others that I googled such as Federal ammunition, Hornady .45 Long Colt ammunition, Corbon ammunition and more, but I do not see one mention of Colt producing ammo anywhere?

I doubt whether Colt would even look at making the ammo for the MAUL? it will be a specialist company that has the sort of expertise necessary to manufacture it, I reckon BAE will fit that criteria nicely and they already have one foot in the door because they were making it for Firestorm from what I read.
