Birmingham - Sorry mate, I've heard that line MANY times before. When a market collapses, good, bad, or otherwise get sold. This is mainly because no-one wants to buy, so folks who need liquidity have to sell at any price.
I will be over-joyed if "it's different this time", but historical evidence is on my side.
The thing to always remember is, a share price does not necessarily reflect true intrinsic value - in both directions. If the market was always right, no-one would ever be able to make money.
