I've followed this company for quite a while, in and out but sold out at a small loss recently. What I can't get over is the cash burn, absolutely horrendous. Other geos get by on 3m a year, GDY...42m? Or is it 65m? I'm not sure but it dwarfs all the others.
Its impossible to justify an investment in this over the volcanic geo's at the moment- EHR & HRL for example have less risk, way less cash burn and seem to be better managed. Their short term prospects are looking brilliant.
With apologies to GDY investors, I think the ASX companies with OS volcanic projects will return to Australia in 5 or 10 years and dominate the scene with their established cashflows, operational experience, partnerships and financing capabilities.
I still think geothermal will grow hugely to make up 10-20% of power in Australia by 2050, but I just can't see how GDY is the horse to back.
