The new CEO is clearing the decks at the beginning of his tenure . He is adopting the approach of getting all the bad news and capital needs out of the way early.
It is worth noting that QBE rose dramatically, despite a Cap Raising @ $10.70. Additionally, BOQ will be paying a 26c div., more than QBE's 25c. The div will also apply to the new shares issued at $ 6.05, QBE is currently $ 14.00 !
It is hard to judge the market response, however, the maintaining of the dividend suggests confidence in the future for BOQ, so the stock could rise tomorrow, we'll see!
