If Conti wanted to be masters of their own destiny they should seriously look at flogging off Botswana to CIC Energy who are parked nextdoor. I mentioned this in March 2010.
Say conservatively at 3B tonnes at 12cpt - they've gotta be able to get $100 million plus, combined with current cashflow and penumbra coming online would eradicate the need for more CRs for acquisitons and De Witt.
Why would you want to be continually at the mercy of the capital markets?
Botswana is years away, sell it and use the money to buy the "eluded" Colombian coking coal - then the sp would get some serious traction. At the moment there is too much uncertainty with how they are going to fund future projects.
