Kentor Gold in pre open pending capital raising announcement

Near term gold producer Kentor Gold (ASX: KGL) has been granted a trading halt by the ASX pending the release of capital raising details, with the company's shares placed in pre-open.

Kentor has not yet specified where the potential inflow of funds will be applied, but the company has been rapidly advancing its Australian based projects.

At the Murchison Gold Project in Western Australia, Burnakura is forecast to commence gold production shortly at an initial production rate of 25,000 ounces annually, with the added potential to expand production via Gabanintha.

Over at the Jervois Copper & Base Metals Project in the Northern Territory, recent high grade discoveries include; 21.4 metres at 3% copper, 40.1 grams per tonne (g/t) silver, 0.38g/t gold, 0.4% lead and 0.4% zinc from 94.5 metres.

The halt will last until the earlier of an announcement being made to the market, or the opening of trade on Thursday 10th July.
