Hi Valinvestor,
I had feedback from a contact who spoke to Nathan Taylor about the phosphorus issue today (on my request). He said that the phosphorus is not chemically attached to the iron, and that the steel mills can burn off this phosphorus in the blast furnace as part of the steel making process. But it costs them money to do this, which they recoup by paying Energio $4-$5 less per tonne for the iron ore product.
You and I seem to be the only ones worried about this. The brokers haven't mentioned this as a risk. I hope he (Nathan Taylor) is being candid.
Your thoughts please on this feedback.
Thanks,
Umizoomi
