SICK to death, though, of every OTHER share I'm NOT in always turning up trumps - professional tipsters telling us of the "year's best three little known stocks" which will double your money in twelve months, etc, in supposedly highly reliable subscription newsheets, etc.

Starting to think in terms of "Evil Eye" - or permanently jinxed.

SO much for my and my family's previous high affection for all things Philippines. Loved the place and the people for decades - told untold numbers they should travel there - but never again - for it turns out, seemingly, they just bite you on the backside when you're least expecting it, when it comes to doing business. And that trust, honor, and integrity then, are very lightly regarded sentiments over there. (A church-going country!)

MacArthur and the "whites" came in handy. Why, they even saved the joint! But those days - of white blood shed in their surrounding ocean, are long in their memory it seems.
I've walked the beaches and tunnels of Corrigedor - collected rocks, bloodstained forever from WW2, off the beaches - short memories to be had over there, it seems.

Talk about reverse racism - if this is how they (Filipino Government and bureacracy - treat foreign investors.) But greed always wins out when money's involved. Which country can we then ever trust?

Sovereign risk? Never ever occurred to me. Yet another instance - never let sentiment get in the way when share selecting.

Too tired, too many family issues, too fed up with having been dudded along the way by other people ASIC never bother to chase - to put in the yards on this one, as to who might be at major fault. But someone should be brought to account. This is "small fry" for some. But not to others.
