The directors of Globe International Limited request that the shares of the Company be placed in a trading halt prior to the commencement of trade on 2 January 2003.
The trading halt is being sought due to the receipt by the company of initial sales and earnings figures for the six months to 31 December 2002, which vary materially from the guidance provided to the market on 25 October 2002.
The board and management of Globe are currently reviewing those initial results and expect to be in a position to provide an announcement to the market by the commencement of trading on Monday 6 January 2003.
The Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
