I've always said that I didn't think that AVQ would get into bed with SMM and do a joint venture. I'm now thinking I may be wrong. A JV would make sense for both companies. Neither would have to risk losing the court case.

For AVQ, a JV would be a good outcome. We all know they can't develop this by themselves so why not SMM?

For SMM, they would get the nickle and they'd get the landowners backing - even if they win they can't develop without the landowners. By bringing in AVQ they also get the landowners blessing.

Ah well. We'll know in a couple of days
