tprchris,
I doubt Scott Jordan needs any good strategic reasons to appeal...he'll appeal if he can because that's his modus operandi.
The key question is whether he can appeal at all, given the court costs awarded against TNC. I doubt his supporters will want to cough up even more money when his appeal of Justice Tracey's decision is inevitably thrown out (or are you thinking that Justice Tracey made an error in law?).
On the other hand, if TNC folds and declares bankruptcy, Jordan's legitimacy is destroyed, and his right to move future cases in court (under the guise of a newly minted "community group" like the Tarkine Inter-national Coalition) would be immediately disputed by the respondent on the basis of his previous inability to pay costs. In short, Jordan's efficacy as a claimant has been effectively nullified by Justice Tracey's awarding of costs.
