Fekola is one of the few known, untapped gold resources in the world with a concentration like this that can be mined at a relatively low cost. Even at US$1,000 an ounce it would still be profitable from what I've read. I hardly think a $600-$800m plus deal is going to fall apart based on a <1% fall in the price of gold...
