re: applera settlement ! Thanks for that glejac, I did not mean to sound so negative. Like you, I've been a long term shareholder and supporter of GTG. But at the moment I admit I am out since last week. (However, if you were making the announcements instead of Merv I probably would still be in.) This is the first time I have heard someone say the confidentiality agreement was all Applera's doing? Like many, I dont know if the confidentiality agreement is really to stop Applera mouthing off about the cheap license they got or if it is to prevent GTG from making Applera appear as the looser, or both! I hope this gets clarified. Unfortunately, I think you are right on the point that "this is a cheaper solution for them (Applera) in the long-run". But with the whole thing being over at last, that has got to be worth something too!

However, its not my perception or yours that will decide the sp in the medium to long term. This will entirely be decided by who is prepared to buy a license and what they are prepared to pay for it. I am not as convinced as you that everyone is going to lineup and payup after this. But I hope I am proven wrong so I can buy back in again. So I think I will adopt a wait and see approach here to get a clearer valuation of the company. For those holding, speculation of licenses to come and the likelyhood of the small bios paying up quickly should maintain the sp in the short term, I think. But dont take my advice on this, ask your broker to get a better opinion here.
