re: trading halt extension Spoke to the company today and they were helpful, but naturally discreet.
They were discussing a "transaction" with another party when the sp took off. To protect shareholders, they sought a trading halt because their negotiations had not been finalized; when they were not finalized within the prescribed 48 hours, the ASX required the company to go into voluntary suspension until negotiations are concluded one way or the other.
Presumably the trading halt is not related to the current drillng program which is to start in China soon ( the drilling equipment is "on the way").
Nor do they know why the sp shot up quickly - could be speculation on the transaction itself or maybe the market had at last caught up with the possible gains to be had if AXM succeed in China.
They plan to issue a formal update to the market soon and perhaps the shares will be relisted early next week.
