Asia-focused private equity fund Affinity Equity Partners has made a $2.2 billion bid for Vocus Group.
Street Talk can reveal Affinity, advised by Macquarie Capital, has put forward a $3.50 a share indicative proposal to join what is shaping as a private equity shoot-out for the ASX-listed telecommunications infrastructure company.
It's understood the bid was made on Monday night.
Vocus is expected to announce the approach on Tuesday morning.
It comes only week after Vocus granted due diligence to rival private equity bidder KKR, which also made a $3.50 a share indicative bid.
