Why the negativity? And how would Platinum have known anything...

Why the negativity? And how would Platinum have known anything about this CR? If that affected their decision to sell that would be insider trading.

This is not a CR because the company has run out of cash and needs more to fund their day to day activity. This is to raise money to acquire something which presumably adds value to the company. As such I'd expect the share price to drop in the short term towards the price of the CR and yes, they will be asking existing investors for money. But if IMU think this is a good purchase and they know what they are doing then in the long term it should result in a stronger company and as such, a higher share price.
