Sleep, I'm not privy to Jeff Carter's personal circumstances. Nobody is. So it's impossible to speculate on why he sold some shares. Perhaps you should ask him?
As for the positive spin, it's not spin, I'm simply reiterating many things the company has announced in an attempt to provide a more balanced debate. We all invest, or trade, according to our appetite for risk. If you don't like it, don't get involved. If it's bad news on Friday, I'll take the hit on the chin and be the first to congratulate you on your foresight. If not, I'll ride my profits and be thankful I was prepared to take the risk. Simple really.
P.S. If Jeff Carter did sell knowing bad news was imminent then he's going to get caned by ASIC. It's called insider trading. Do you think he would leave himself open to that possibility for $80,000? And given all the negative press about certain other members of the executive, if it is bad news don't you think they would have sold as well? Perhaps you could point me to the change in director's interest notices that show this to be the case.
