IN the case of NTM it is worth remembering the leader of the NTM operation is Andrew Muir and DGO - whoever it is controlled by, is only 12%
Ausdrill is another significant holder with 8%

Drill turns as NTM readies for flagship resource update

NTM Gold managing director Andrew Muir says the eastern Goldfields-focused explorer will maintain an energised drilling approach in preparation for a resource update at its flagship Redcliffe project.

Redcliffe, a 160sqkm holding based 45km north-east of Leonora, currently has a resource base of 278,100 ounces across its identified deposits along the Mertondale Shear Zone.

In its March quarterly report released to the market on Friday, NTM trumpeted January’s successful $1.5 million share placement to fund drilling at the project and Mr Muir’s appointment to the head role.

Mr Muir, a decorated geologist who replaced former managing director Rodney Foster earlier this year, highlighted high-grade strikes at Redcliffe’s Bindy prospect including hits of 20m at 4.25g/t and 10m at 4.2g/t.

Mr Muir also lauded high-grade returns from the Nambi deposit and said Redcliffe’s updated resource remained poised to be released by June’s end.

“The drilling results at Bindy have been very good and confirms the size of the deposit,” he said.

“Bindy is a relatively new deposit for us, after we discovered it last year, so we will be doing its maiden resource in the next couple of months.

“At Nambi we extended down plunge and got some good grades.

“We’re very much in a drilling phase and to date we have been pretty successful with the drilling we’ve been doing ... the resource update is on track to be released before midyear.”

Redcliffe neighbours several prosperous projects, including Dacian Gold’s Mt Morgans and Kin Mining’s Leonora project.

Gold producer Red 5’s Darlot mine, St Barbara’s historic Gwalia operation and AngloGold’s Sunrise Dam mine are also nearby.

Mr Muir said NTM was scheduled to increase greenfields exploration at Redcliffe throughout the second quarter to shore up its potential.

“We still have a lot of ground that needs a lot of follow-up work that has had little to no exploration — that will be the focus to grow the portfolio beyond ... what we currently have,” he said. “Our resource base is about 280,000oz, but that will grow with this new resource update.

“In the medium term we have 40km of strike Mertondale Shear, we’ve only tested 20-25km of that, and we’re expecting the remaining 15km or so to be just as prospective as what we’ve tested already.”
