Rio deal tipped for Grange's Southdown

All eyes will be on magnetite hopeful Grange Resources over the next couple of days after it called a trading halt late on Friday. According to the rumour on the street, the Geoff Wedlock-run outfit may be close to finalising a deal with Rio Tinto to consolidate control of the entire Southdown magnetite deposit near Albany Grange and Rio respectively hold the tenements over the western and eastern portions of the Southdown deposit, with Grange's half estimated to contain 480 million tonnes grading 37.3 per cent iron.
