I think you're wishful thinking here.
Read the announcement again - it mentions specifically about a "previously issued guidance" and not about a takeover. Generally if its a takeover, it'll also mentioned that in the announcement.
FWIW, my read of the announcement suggests its likely bad news - good news is seldom drafted this way. Bad news on the other hand often are and is caveated with "properly consider the current information... etc etc"
Anyway, I hope i'm wrong
