Qantas Airways is close to clinching its deal with Jetset Travelworld, which will see the carrier combine its wholesale holidays business, Qantas Holidays with the travel agency, reports The Australian Financial Review.

Under the deal, Qantas will spin out the wholesale travel packaging businesses, estimated to be worth as much as $420 million, into Jetset in exchange for an equity stake.

According to the paper, Qantas will outline the details on Thursday when it presents its half-year results.

It is also expected to report separate results for its freight and Frequent Flyer units for the first time, the paper said.
