All major shareholders bought in at levels ABOVE the current sp. As announced to the market on 12/3/2008 SAU reported assay results from 3 of 11 holes. I think todays trading halt is likely to relate to new assay results from the remaining 8 holes. Obviously it is sensitive enough information to warrant a trading halt! Stephen Biggins announced in Singapore yesterday that SAU were on the verge of a major gold discovery in Cambodia, i dont think he was talking tongue in cheek. I suspect the assay results are going to confirm just that.

If the ASX took exeption to SAU's earlier announcement this morning a "please explain" notice would have accompanied the advice of the trading halt! I expect very good news to be announced prior to the resumption of trading. A $24 million market cap is peanuts given the cash backing SAU enjoy & the current projects underway.
