Most likely it is related to the development of a new time machine which allowed them to go back in time and fax in their request for a trading halt yesterday dated 19th of May 2008!
Alternatively they may have solicited an improved friendly offer. Although it's doubtful anyone would want to pay whatever the independent valuation comes in at in the current market.
