re: we are a touchy lot this morning black gold Miningnut, I deliberately threw in my earlier comment re ROC as speculation. I was not thinking of a takeover as such. I remember that ARQ placed a convertible note (about 10m ARQ shares, from memory) with HDR who advanced funds enabling ARQ to effectively fast-track development of Hovea & additional exploration in Onshore Perth. ARQ later issued the shares to HDR who voted them against the opportunistic TAP bid for ARQ preventing them getting the required 90%. The bid lapsed. HDR later sold most or all of them down to Westgold gp & a related party who later sold them on-market for a cash profit. The rest is history; ARQ scrip became a little more liquid, the co stormed on to greater achievements and prosperity and now Blackgold can't get enough of them!
