Surprised at the trading halt, I called the company, unsucessfully, and then my contact in the Bendigo district - a farmer, and GBM holder.
He had just become aware of the trading halt via the local grapevine, and indicated to me that it must be investment related as apparently the company was pouring gold at its Inglewood plant very recently in front of Chinese investors. The gold was from stockpiled alluvial feed, indicating that they are now able to process the concentrates.
The mill manager, the project manager and the mine manager were present for the display.
I asked the person has recently left - the plant construction manager, as his roll has concluded, and he has moved on to sell other versions of the successful plant to other companies.
My unanswered question is - if they were pouring gold, why not tell people, video it etc etc.??? I hate being treated as a mushroom. The old lack of communication complaint gives me the Sh*ts.
