>>>>>>what is getting me is how the hell would anyone buy a shares (or get issued a share) at $3.78 when the current SP is $2.33?
i think the response is that if the US shareholders wanted 12.5m linc shares they would be bidding the price up well over $3.78. so 3.78 is the premium to get it done
>>>>>This either prove that gastech is either stupid, or the chinese deal is done (hence to make sure it doesn't dilute too much of the current share holder holdings).
i dont see it as automatically suggesting any party is stupid (even is you are using hyperbole). on a relative basis, what is going to add more value to the US party? holding their share as is, or, holding linc shares- which own their coal leases- at $4? Like Frogger, I'd take the linc option. it was the same for the Sapex people.
>>>>>well, pick one :)
the only stupid people i see are those who have been selling linc to the point it has suppressed the SP.
>>>>I hope is the second one, of course.
i am sure china will happen, we just have to sit and wait for the govt to give the green light for a whole lot of projects in regards to coal and coal prices, thats all.
pretty soon in one swoop they will be onto Rio, Fortescue, Worleys, Incitec and so on. Its in their interest to drag things on and see the price of materials and commodities fall while they let the globe slow and talk down the BRIC story. just hold fast is my philosophy
