BLUESCOPE Steel is planning a roughly $300 million capital raising, a market participant said.
The company, Australia's largest steel maker, halted trade in its stock today in advance of an announcement about certain capital management initiatives.
Trade in its shares will be suspended until Thursday or pending an announcement about the completion of the initiatives, Bluescope said in a statement.
Shares of Bluescope last traded at $4.03 yesterday.
