Babcock & Brown Infrastructure– Request for Trading Halt
Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Babcock & Brown Infrastructure Limited and
Babcock & Brown Investor Services Limited as responsible entity of the Babcock
& Brown Infrastructure Trust request an immediate trading halt in respect of
Babcock & Brown Infrastructure stapled securities (ASX: BBI) and also in respect
of BBI EPS (ASX: BEPPA) which are issued by a wholly owned subsidiary, BBI
    EPS Limited.
The reason for the trading halt is issues that have arisen which have created
uncertainty relating to completion of the sale of an interest in the New Zealand
business of Powerco Limited. The sale was announced by BBI in November
    2008.
BBI is working to resolve the issues but is not yet in a position to provide details
    of any outcomes.
It is expected that the trading halt will end upon the resolution of the issues and
the announcement of the outcome by BBI. BBI currently expects this to occur by
    10 a.m. on Thursday 26 February 2009.
BBI is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
    Yours sincerely
    Michael Ryan
    Company Secretary
