No we don't necessarily have to wait until Tuesday:
"or when the announcement is released to the market"
That could be today, Monday or Tuesday morning.
All conjecture until we get the announcement but if I was to guess I'd say that they hit a prospective zone and need time to analyse/interpret their observations.
