I must admit to being surprized as well.

Lets see the guts of the cap raise first as it could be beneficial to holders.
I can see why the company may want to do it this way to placate a possible investor or simply to allow themselves to participate in aquiring more shares via a rights issue at a discounted price.

There must be deals close or else Matt Birney will be in trouble and he is too smart to leave himself open like that. The companu have stated they are at advanced stages of deals, plural, so I can't see why they won't come to fruition.

There was a 500k seller of options @ 9c that pulled out when it was obvious we weren't trading today. I was about to take them all on open. May be lucky there.

I don't see any bad news in the announcement but it does raise an eyebrow.

perhaps our Sunday poster may find out more from his 'source' however I would suggest that unless the source can be quoted and verified that it is best not to post such things. Unfortunately I have been having pc troubles all weekend otherwise some moderation would have happened earlier. Tretch has given some sound advice in his post and posters should take heed.

anyway my guess is a rights issue at 16c with some free attached options (current series). This will no doubt allow punters to flkog the free oppies and could drive the option price down to around 6c imo. Hence the big seller trying to sell at 9c. All just speculation of course.
