I would not necessarily advise this but am fairly pragmatic. If we were in Jan/Feb I would wait, I run risk of losing value on potential relist but I have gains of several hundred k gains this year already and withdrew most of my capital earlier to buy a property and diversify risk so my ability to make as much cap gains in future will be restricted. Had I not withdrawn I may have waited and carried forward the loss to use later. The tax savings will be approx. $50k less on my tax bill this financial year which to me is a real saving and I believe higher than I can hope for on any potential relist which I deem unlikely in any case with this mgmt. which I think no one is going to touch. I would have gifted the shares or accepted a nominal amount but I was not confident in getting it through in time without help from commsec.

All in all better to think of it a bad trade in a good year and move on
